A lovely photo and surely an interesting story behind it which, alas, we shall never know. The bike is unmistakably a Triumph and looks to date from just before WW1.

This is an extraordinary photo. What a find. I will not even begin to guess its origins. I do think that if ever there were a contest for proof of the community of mankind, this could be an entry. And motorcycles were there.
